Responsibilities

  • Administer and troubleshoot Windows desktop and server operating systems used in virtual desktop environments
  • Support hybrid architectures integrating on-premises infrastructure with AWS services
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting across OS, application, virtualization, network, and storage layers
  • Performance capacity and usage reporting to make recommendations for optimization and planning
  • Apply security hardening, access controls, and compliance requirements aligned with government standards
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and system diagrams
  • Participate in change management, patch cycles, and system sustainment activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's with 12+ years of desktop engineering experience (or commensurate experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in virtual desktop engineering, end-user computing (EUC), or enterprise virtualization
  • Strong hands-on experience with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops)
  • Experience supporting and maintaining NetScaler and NetScaler Console
  • Experience supporting large-scale or mission-critical VDI environments
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Demonstrated experience automating system builds and configurations in Citrix and AWS
  • Experience working with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server and Windows Desktop operating systems
  • Understanding and experience with security and certificate management
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity services
  • Familiarity with operating in government contracting or compliance-driven environments
  • Familiarity of Databases and their management
  • Coordinates with Tier 4 vendors as needed
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Clearance Required: Ability to maintain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Citrix certifications (e.g., CC-V, CC-P, CC-E or equivalent)
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator)
  • Experience with configuration management or desired-state tools (e.g., Ansible, DSC)
  • Familiarity with STIGs, NIST, or similar government security frameworks
  • Experience with Nvidia GPU enabled virtual desktop environments
