This role is focused on building and maintaining high-performance trading systems, supporting a fast-paced and mission-critical environment.

Additionally, the team is open to candidates with strong experience in FIX onboarding, depending on profile fit.

Role: Senior / Lead Java Developer (602 Level)

Role Summary

This is a backend-focused engineering role working on high-volume, low-latency systems. The position involves hands-on development, testing, and system optimization, with exposure to cloud modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance, low-latency Java applications
• Contribute to backend development (~70% coding + testing)
• Build scalable and reliable components for trading systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (trading, product, infrastructure)
• Participate in system design, architecture, and performance tuning
• Support modernization efforts (on-prem $B*(J AWS migration)
• Ensure code quality through testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines

Required Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Java backend development
• Experience with high-volume, low-latency systems
• Solid understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning
• Strong hands-on coding and testing experience
• Ability to perform well in technical coding assessments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services / capital markets (preferred)
• Exposure to AWS or cloud migration initiatives
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of trading systems, market data, or FIX protocol
