Role: Oracle EPCM Consultant

the project: 12 months with possibility for extension.
Location: Malvern, PA (Hybrid- 3
days a week onsite & must be willing to relocate and be onsite on day
Responsibilities
· Design, build, and maintain EPCM
models: Configure and optimize existing cost and revenue allocation models,
drivers, POVs, and calculation logic to deliver transparent, auditable
profitability insights across lines of business, products, and customers.
· Implement allocation logic &
rules: Author and tune allocation rules, calculation scripts, and model views
to balance accuracy and performance; instrument traceability and
reconciliation.
· Production support: Triage and resolve
incidents, defects, and data issues; harden jobs with monitoring, logging, and
alerting; contribute to root cause analysis and preventive improvements.
· Extend EPBCS (Projects focus):
Configure the Projects module (drivers, forms, smart lists, mappings), support
actuals/forecast integrations, and enable project-level planning and reporting.
· Metadata & governance: Partner
with EDMCS/metadata owners to manage dimensions, hierarchies, and mappings
across EPCM/EPBCS; ensure consistent conformance and versioning.
· Performance & reliability: Profile
models, optimize calculation ordering, caching, and data slices to maximize
performance. Resolve performance bottlenecks in large allocations and plan
types.
· Business partnership: Collaborate with
Finance and FP&A stakeholders to translate cost methodologies, drivers, and
planning processes into scalable technical designs; provide guidance on best
practices and trade offs.
· Agile delivery: Contribute to backlog
refinement, story pointing, sprint planning, and review; write clear technical
requirements based on business inputs, acceptance criteria, and maintain
documentation.
Qualifications
8+ Years of overall experience
· Hands on Oracle EPCM expertise
(strong): 4+ years configuring EPCM
models, allocation rules, POVs, cost objects, and driver based methodologies;
proven experience optimizing complex allocations.
· Oracle EPBCS proficiency
(intermediate): 2+ years with EPBCS (forms, rules, Data Management, security);
ability to contribute across at least one planning module and learn others.
· Projects module exposure: Experience
supporting or implementing the EPBCS Projects module (or equivalent project
planning solutions) including actuals integration and driver setup.
· Integration skills: Practical
experience with EPM Data Management, flat file/API based interfaces; comfort
working with mappings, drill through, and reconciliation.
· Calc & scripting: Working
knowledge of business rule design (Calc Manager/Rules), groovy based rules or
equivalent scripting to parameterize and harden calculations.
· Data & modeling mindset: Strong
grasp of dimensional modeling for EPM (Accounts, Entities/Departments,
Product/LOB, Projects, Scenarios, Versions, Periods) and
allocation/profitability concepts.
· SDLC & Agile: Experience
delivering in Agile teams (two or three week sprints), with version
control, code reviews, CI/CD for EPM assets, and production change controls.
· Communication & partnering:
Ability to translate finance concepts into technical designs and clearly
explain results, variances, and model behavior to non technical partners. Nice
to have (Preferred)
· Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or
similar iPaaS for orchestrating EPM/ERP flows.
· EDMCS experience for metadata
governance and multi app alignment.
· Smart View and end user enablement
(forms, ad hoc, task lists, job aids).
· Background with Oracle ERP Cloud
Projects or other source system actuals feeding EPBCS Projects.
· Performance tuning at scale (large
allocations, multi cube footprints, peak processing).
· Experience in Financial Services or
complex cost allocation environments.
· Certifications: Oracle EPM Cloud
(EPCM/Planning), Agile/Scrum (PSM/CSM), or related.
