Summary
My client is a family owned insurer that writes surety, warranty, and surplus lines businesses.
They are seeking an Accounting Manager with a background in Property and Casualty insurance to join their team. The role reports directly into the CFO and will play a critical role in financial reporting, statutory compliance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of accounting experience within a P & C insurance company.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of accounting experiencce within a P&C insurance company and a solid understanding of statutory accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with SAP
- Assist with the preparation and filing of statutory financial statements including NAIC Filings
- Support the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors and regulators
- Perform account reconciliations and detailed variance analyses
- Assist with premium, loss and expense analyes
