Job Title: Security Tool Engineering Architect

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 3 Months Contract (20 Hours per Week)

Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Security Tool Engineering Architect to help strengthen and mature a rapidly evolving security environment. The ideal candidate will have strong EDR engineering experience, especially SentinelOne and CrowdStrike, along with expertise in security tool tuning, optimization, integration, and incident response.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tune, optimize, and improve EDR/XDR security platforms.
• Engineer and integrate security tools across the environment.
• Improve detection, alerting, policies, exclusions, and response workflows.
• Support security tooling integration during ongoing M&A activities.
• Identify security gaps and recommend architecture improvements.
• Help build practical security processes and documentation.
• Provide knowledge transfer to a lean internal security team.

Technology Stack:

• SentinelOne EDR
• CrowdStrike EDR
• Microsoft Defender Suite
• Proofpoint Email Security
• Varonis
• Fortinet Firewalls

Required:

• Strong hands-on SentinelOne + CrowdStrike experience.
• Security engineering/architecture background.
• EDR/XDR tuning and optimization experience.
• Incident detection and response expertise.
• Experience integrating multiple security platforms.
• M&A/security consolidation experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a lean security organization.

Ideal Candidate: EDR/Security Tool Engineer with Architect-level experience who can quickly assess an immature environment, optimize existing tools, improve detection and response, and drive security-tool integration.
