#### Role Overview:
Drive the design, development, and operation of centralized cloud platform services on Google Cloud Platform to accelerate secure, automated cloud adoption across the enterprise.
#### Key Responsibilities:
- **Cloud Platform Leadership:** Oversee the development and lifecycle management of shared cloud automation tools (e.g., reusable Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, automated validations).
- **Best Practices Enforcement:** Establish and enforce engineering standards for IaC, code quality, change management, and platform configuration.
- **Security & Compliance:** Integrate robust security controls and compliance automation into cloud onboarding processes.
- **Platform Operations:** Ensure the reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement of the platform, including incident management and SLO/SLA compliance.
- **Team Collaboration:** Guide and mentor a team of platform engineers, collaborating closely with security, compliance, and application teams.
#### Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven expertise with Google Cloud Platform and large-scale Terraform automation.
- Strong Python development skills for scripting and automation in cloud environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading platform engineering or DevOps teams supporting production systems.
- Solid understanding of security, compliance, and governance, especially within regulated industries.
#### Desirable Qualifications:
- Industry certifications in Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, or Security (e.g., Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Architect, HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate, CISSP).
- Prior work with major financial or technology organizations.
- Experience implementing “security by design” and compliance automation in cloud environments.
- Track record of reducing time-to-onboard and improving platform adoption metrics.
