Summary

Overview
We are looking for a customer-focused Help Desk Support Specialist to provide front-line technical support in a fast-paced, high-touch environment. This role requires strong communication skills, confidence in face-to-face interactions, and the ability to manage both walk-up support and phone-based user requests.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 1 service desk support for internal and external users via phone, walk-up, and ticketing system
  • Manage, track, and resolve incidents and service requests using ServiceNow or a similar ITSM platform
  • Deliver in-person support for a high volume of walk-up users, ensuring a positive and professional experience
  • Handle inbound calls and perform follow-ups to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot common hardware, software, and access-related issues
  • Document all interactions, resolutions, and updates accurately within the ticketing system
  • Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate teams when needed

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Service Desk or Help Desk experience
  • Hands-on experience with an ITSM ticketing system (ServiceNow preferred)
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume support environment with frequent user interaction

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently engage users face-to-face
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including phone-based support and follow-ups
  • Customer-first mindset with a friendly, outgoing, and approachable demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, professional, and responsive to user needs

Preferred
  • Experience supporting both internal employees and external customers
  • Exposure to corporate IT environments and standard desktop technologies

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
