The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to help us secure our customer's advanced collection systems. In addition to delivering the current version of the systems, you will get to help shape and design the security features in the next generation systems. We are looking for someone interested in continuous improvement - both in their career as well as in the products that we deliver and the tools that we use in-house. You will work with a team of friendly, smart, professional, and proactive engineers and computer scientists to build, deploy, and secure cutting edge Electronic Warfare systems. Responsibilities:
  • Work with the system developers to ensure that we are delivering systems that can attain ATO.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the customer ISSOs to navigate through the ATO process and Continuous Monitoring.
  • Maintain system currency with DISA STIG and Tenable Nessus.
  • Conduct Risk Analysis using CVEs, plugins, IAVAs, and related security information.
  • Update security documentation (SSP, Test Plans & scripts, POA&M, etc.) as required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • On-site presence in Sterling, VA is required; remote or hybrid work is not available.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or higher).
  • Three (3) years of hands-on cybersecurity compliance experience in a Linux environment.
  • Familiarity with ICD 503 and NIST 800-53, and experience executing DISA SCC/SCAP testing.
  • Linux experience with a focus on security hardening.
  • BASH or other Linux scripting capabilities to validate security compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (equivalent combination of experience and education considered).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desired:
  • Working within an Agile Framework for system configuration management and hardening.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Familiarity with RMF.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. $72,700 - $149,200
