Network Engineer III

Immediate contract to hire opening for a Network Engineer III with strong hands-on experience supporting Cisco ACI and BGP in large enterprise environments. This role focuses on designing, supporting, and maintaining secure, highly available campus and WAN-connected networks.

*This role is onsite in Dallas, TX*

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Cisco ACI spine/leaf environments
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP in WAN and data center use cases
• Support enterprise Cisco infrastructure (9300, 9500, 9600, ASR9K)
• Work with WAN, DWDM, and Palo Alto firewalls
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation (approx. every 10 weeks)
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT and security teams

Required Skills

• 5+ years of network engineering experience
• Recent hands-on experience with Cisco ACI (tenants, EPGs, contracts)
• Recent hands-on BGP routing experience
• Strong Cisco switching/routing background
• Experience supporting enterprise WAN environments
• Bachelor s degree + 8 years of professional IT experience (or equivalent)

Nice to Have

• Network automation (Python, Ansible)
• Experience mentoring junior engineers
