Job DetailsLITIGATION ASSOCIATE
A sophisticated plaintiff's litigation firm in Northern New Jersey seeks a motivated Associate with 1-3 years of experience for their growing practice. This position offers substantial responsibility handling complex matters including commercial disputes, class actions, and multi-party litigation with direct attorney-client relationships and frequent court appearances.
Responsibilities:
- Handle complex litigation matters from case inception through trial and appeals
- Draft substantive motions, briefs, and pleadings for federal and state courts
- Conduct depositions and represent clients at court proceedings
- Manage client relationships and provide strategic counseling
- Collaborate across practice areas including commercial litigation, class actions, personal injury, and medical malpractice
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
- Work independently while coordinating with partners on high-stakes matters
Qualifications:
- 1-4 years litigation experience (commercial or complex civil matters preferred)
- New Jersey bar admission required
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Self-motivated with ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and client relations abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Adaptability and comfort with diverse subject matter
