In person interview. Onsite from day 1

This is a HYBRID position requiring 4 days/week ONSITE. Only submit LOCAL candidates who are willing to work 4 days/week onsite as required.

Location: Concord, NH

Duration: 12- 24+ months (High Possibility of Further Extensions)

Selected resource will be responsible for working with the current development team to support and upgrade the current portfolio of critical agency applications. The person in this role will be responsible for rewriting Access ADP applications that link to SQL Server backend to Access ACCDB format, then migrating those applications to different servers.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the current agency development team to update the portfolio of applications from the MS Access project file format (ADP) to MS Access database file (ACCDB) and from MS SQL Server 2008 to MS SQL Server 2016 or higher, including the use of SSIS jobs. There is potential to develop using ASP.net as well.
Contribute to the determination of the future technical path for the agency application portfolio.
Help maintain best practices for documentation and code management.
Work closely with our internal developers and service providers to ensure the applications are stable and reliable.
Work to provide our customers with the best transformation experience possible.

What is required:

Strong technical skills in MS Access and MS SQL Server based application development and support, to include end user support of applications.

Experience with Access ADP and SQL SSIS jobs

Skills in developing complex VBA scripts and ASP.net development.

Strong communication and collaboration with both IT peers and agency personnel of varying levels of technical knowledge

Skills Needed

Database and database application upgrade and support experience - front-end applications and back-end support Required 5 Years

Experience supporting application database migrations involving MS Access and MS SQL Server Required 5 Years

Experience developing and supporting MS Access Applications, MS Access Database (ACCDB), MS Access ADP Required 5 Years

Strong technical experience in MS Access and MS SQL Server based application development and support, to include end user support of applications Required 5 Years

Experience with MS SQL Server development (TSQL) Required 5 Years

Development experience utilizing SSIS Required 5 Years

Experience with MS SQL Server administration Highly desired 5 Years

Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) - Experience developing complex VBA scripts. Required 5 Years

ASP.net development experience Required 3 Years

Exceptional communication is required as resource will collaborate with IT peers and agency personnel of varying levels of technical knowledge. Required

Previous experience working with development team delivering with Agile methodologies Required

Strong understanding of processes including user acceptance testing Required
