Senior Network Engineer
Grow into Architect. Own the network. Make real decisions.
At iSphere, we don’t look for ticket-takers.
We look for builders.
This role is for the engineer who doesn’t just keep the lights on — you redesign the room, rewire it, and make it faster, cleaner, and smarter than it was yesterday.
We’re hiring a Senior Network Engineer to take ownership of our client’s enterprise network across data center, campus, and WAN environments. You’ll be hands-on, trusted to make architecture decisions, and given the runway to grow into a Senior Network Architect role over time.
If you like solving real problems, modernizing environments, and having leadership actually listen to your recommendations… you’ll feel right at home here.
You’ll assess what exists, challenge what’s outdated, design what’s next, and help deliver a network that scales with the business instead of slowing it down.
Some days you’re deep in design.
Some days you’re implementing.
Some days you’re advising leadership on what we should or shouldn’t buy.
It’s ownership, not babysitting.
Must haves
• 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
• Strong Cisco routing and switching background
• Experience with Cisco VXLAN
• Experience with Cisco NDFC (formerly DCNM)
• Experience designing and supporting LAN/WAN environments
• Comfortable leading upgrades, migrations, and optimization projects
• Ability to work fully onsite in the North Houston / Spring area
• CCNP certification
Nice to have
• Cisco SD-LAN experience
• Architecture or design leadership experience
• Data center fabric design
• CCDP or other advanced Cisco certifications
• Experience mentoring junior engineers
This is a great fit for someone who wants the next step in their career without waiting years for a title change. You’ll have a voice, autonomy, and the chance to shape the environment — not just maintain it.
If you’re ready to move from “engineer” to “architect mindset,” let’s talk.
