Alternate locations: Dallas/Fort Worth/Westlake, TX, and Raleigh, NC
Duration: 12 months contract with possibility of extension
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Mobile Automation Engineer to join our Quality Engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and scale mobile test automation frameworks that support fast-moving, concurrent product releases across distributed teams. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA leads to ensure high-quality delivery of mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable mobile test automation frameworks for iOS and Android applications
Write, execute, and manage automated test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage across features and platforms
Optimize test execution using real device cloud infrastructure, including parallel test strategies
Collaborate with geographically distributed QA teams to manage multiple concurrent project releases
Identify, log, and track defects using industry-standard bug tracking and test management tools
Apply established design patterns to maintain clean, reusable, and efficient test code
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tooling, and best practices
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience in mobile application development
4+ years of experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks
5+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Appium
Proficiency in Java or another object-oriented programming language
Strong understanding of test framework design patterns (e.g., Singleton, Page Object Model)
Advanced experience with real device cloud platforms, parallel execution, and platform optimization (e.g., Sauce Labs)
Proficiency in Java 8+ features, TestNG/JUnit 5, and build automation tools such as Maven or Gradle
Experience with defect and test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr)
Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple QA projects simultaneously across distributed teams
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Lean DevOps methodologies
Experience with native testing frameworks such as XCUITest and/or Espresso
Knowledge of Kotlin or Swift
Background in a regulated or high-transaction-volume industry is a plus
