About the Role

Seeking a visionary and strategic leader to build and scale our modern data and engineering platform. This role is foundational to our AI and digital transformation efforts, enabling real-time, reusable, and governed data across the enterprise. You will lead platform architecture, data engineering, integration, and governance-partnering closely with product and data science teams to support AI-driven innovation.
Responsibilities
Platform Architecture & Data Engineering

• Design and implement a scalable, cloud-native data platform (Google Cloud Platform preferred) for real-time ingestion, transformation, and serving.
• Architect data pipelines and semantic layers to support AI, ML, and real-time decision-making.
• Promote API-first and event-driven integration patterns across ERP, commerce, and operational systems.

Data Governance & Master Data Management

• Collaborate with Data Governance teams to operationalize stewardship, lineage, and access controls.
• Lead implementation and lifecycle management of MDM platforms across customer, product, vendor, and location domains.
• Build engineering capabilities (catalogs, observability, policies as code) to support federated governance.

AI & Digital Enablement

• Deliver infrastructure that enables scalable AI use cases (e.g., personalization, pricing, virtual agents).
• Ensure AI outputs are consumable within ERP, CRM, and operational workflows.
• Evolve the platform based on feedback from data product, analytics, and AI teams.

Strategic Leadership & Collaboration

• Develop and communicate a clear technology roadmap aligned with enterprise strategy and AI initiatives.
• Act as a bridge between IT, product, AI, and business units to ensure alignment.
• Participate in governance bodies such as the Data Council and Architecture Review Board.

Team Development & Operational Excellence

• Build and lead a high-performing team of platform engineers, data engineers, integration specialists, and MDM experts.
• Foster a culture of innovation, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
• Implement best practices in CI/CD, testing, security, and observability.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or enterprise data leadership.
• Proven success building cloud-native data platforms (Google Cloud Platform preferred; Azure or AWS acceptable).
• Experience implementing MDM and data governance tools in large-scale environments.
• Strong track record of enabling AI/ML teams through robust data infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of ERP and operational system integrations in B2B, e-commerce, manufacturing, or distribution.
• Expertise in data engineering tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Kafka, Spark) and scalable storage solutions (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with real-time data processing, API design, event streaming, and AI-enabling infrastructure (e.g., vector databases, ML pipelines, feature stores).
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Reliable, high-speed internet connection for remote work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with platform-as-a-product mindset.
• Prior leadership in cross-functional enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Contributions to data governance councils or architecture review boards.
