We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with strong LAN support and implementation expertise to support enterprise infrastructure operations in an onsite environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco networking, LAN troubleshooting, and infrastructure collaboration in medium to large enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve LAN issues; replace defective components as needed
Provide LAN development and operational support
Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents (including occasional off-shift/weekend support)
Collaborate with business partners and vendors for infrastructure integration
Design and implement process improvements for network development and support
Follow ITSM processes and maintain proper documentation for all changes
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Firewall, VPN, Wireless, NAC) for planned changes
Provide technical guidance to business stakeholders on LAN-related issues
Required Experience:
10+ years of progressive experience in Network Engineering
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong hands-on experience with LAN implementation and support
Required Technical Skills:
TCP/IP fundamentals, Ethernet, QoS, IP Subnetting
VLANs, VLAN Trunking, Switching Configuration
OSPF and routing concepts
Copper & Fiber cabling knowledge
Cisco switches and Cisco networking equipment
Understanding of risk domains and tiered domains
Strong team collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
CCNA Certification
Experience with automation and scripting
Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center (Catalyst Center)
Wireless networking experience
Experience working in medium to large enterprise environments
