Contract Length: 6 Months (Potential Extension or Conversion)

Pay Rate: $69/hr - $74/hr (OT40)

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Pega Lead Developer with expertise in Pega Case Management and system integrations. This role combines technical leadership with active development responsibilities. The ideal candidate will design and build Pega solutions, guide team members, enforce best practices, and partner with architects, product owners, and integration teams. This is not a coordinator role; the successful candidate must be an active, hands-on developer who contributes code daily.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of Pega applications, with an emphasis on case management and workflow orchestration.
  • Actively contribute to development, including rules, flows, integrations, UI, and decisioning.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Pega designs.
  • Ensure solutions align with Pega Guardrails, performance standards, and enterprise architecture guidelines.
  • Design and implement end-to-end case lifecycles, including stages, steps, SLAs, and approvals.
  • Design and implement integrations using REST and SOAP services, connectors, and other patterns.
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and hands-on guidance.
  • Participate in performance tuning, defect resolution, and deployment support.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years of hands-on Pega engineering experience. Must have experience leading or mentoring development teams.

Technical Skills: Strong expertise in Pega Case Management and system integration (REST API/SOAP). Solid understanding of the Pega rules engine, flow rules, decision tables, and data pages. Proficient in performance tuning and troubleshooting.

Certifications: Pega certifications such as CSSA and/or CLSA are required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Pega Infinity.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for Pega.
  • Knowledge of cloud migration.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence.
What We're Looking For
  • A hands-on leader who codes and leads by example.
  • A problem-solver with a passion for building scalable solutions.
  • A strong communicator who can work across technical and non-technical teams.
