Product owner (for System Engineering Team)

Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Product Ownership:
O Act as a Product Owner (as applicable) to define, prioritize, and manage system features and backlog.
O Ensure alignment between customer expectations and engineering deliverables.
• Domain Understanding:
O Strong understanding of the automotive domain relevant to the project (e.g., ADAS, Chassis, Restraints, Upfitter, Trailer Tow, TPMS etc).
o Analyze and interpret customer needs and translate them into actionable system requirements.
• Subsystem & Feature Analysis:
O Understand subsystem features, functionalities, and behavior.
O Ensure proper decomposition of system requirements into subsystem-level requirements.
• Interface Management:
O Understand and manage interfaces between different features and subsystems.
O Ensure compatibility and integration across systems.
•System Engineering Activities:
O Develop and maintain system requirements, boundary diagrams, and capability definitions.
O Support system architecture definition and validation.
•Tool Proficiency:
O Work with MagicDraw (or equivalent MBSE tools, SysMLv2) for system modeling and documentation.
•Agile Execution:
O Plan, track, and execute work based on Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe).
O Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
•Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
O Work closely with cross-functional teams (Other subsystems like Body, Lighting, Powertrain, Vehicle Access etc).
o Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including customers and internal leadership.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
•Strong understanding of System Engineering principles
•Experience in automotive domain (preferably ADAS and Chassis systems)
•To be able to derive capabilities, system requirements, interfaces, SysML artifacts
•Hands-on experience with MagicDraw or similar MBSE tools on SysMLv2
•Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum / SAFe)
•Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
• Exposure to system integration and validation processes
• Understanding of end-to-end vehicle systems and architecture
