Role: Oracle FDI Visualization and Analytics Engineer
They are implementing Oracle FDI and need a strong resource to help with the implementation and then support it. Oracle is going to assist them with the basic implementation but this person would be involved from the beginning as well.
FDI has been around since 2018 and had a couple different names like:
Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) was previously known as Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW), and earlier in that product line as Oracle Analytics for Applications (OAX).
*** Note: OTBI and BI Publisher experience is beneficial but not sufficient. We need analytics professional (not a report developer), with strong Finance and HCM data experience using FDI/FAW or Oracle Analytics for Fusion ERP/HCM. Candidates must have hands-on experience developing FDI semantic models, governed metrics, dashboards, reconciliations, and security.***
This is not an ETL developer, its more focused on the semantic layer and developing dashboards, strong SQL is needed for this.
Key responsibilities:
Design and support Finance and HCM analytics using Oracle FDI/FAW.
Develop FDI Key Metrics, workbooks, dashboards, visualizations, analyses, data flows, and Oracle Analytics Publisher reports.
Extend FDI semantic models, including facts, dimensions, measures, calculations, joins, hierarchies, and aggregation rules.
Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and governed analytical solutions.
Reconcile FDI/FAW results with Oracle Fusion transactions, OTBI, BI Publisher, and other approved sources.
Manage analytical-content security and support testing, migrations, quarterly updates, and production issues.
Support data governance, metric definitions, lineage, data quality, documentation, and content certification.
Required skills:
Oracle FDI/FAW: Hands-on implementation or support experience with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence or its predecessor, Fusion Analytics Warehouse.
Semantic modeling: Experience with FDI Semantic Model Extensions and dimensional-modeling concepts.
Oracle Analytics within FDI: Experience with Oracle FDI - Key Metrics, workbooks, dashboards, visualizations, datasets, data flows, analyses, and Publisher.
SQL: Strong querying, validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills.
Fusion knowledge: Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials and HCM processes and data.
Security and governance: Experience with the Oracle Analytics Catalog, application roles, row-level security, data quality, lineage, and governed metrics.
Support and delivery: Experience with root-cause analysis, testing, quarterly-release validation, production support, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, FDI Data Augmentation, ETL/ELT, data-pipeline troubleshooting, Power BI, Oracle EPM, OCI, or Oracle Database would be a plus.
