We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Processing Specialist to join a public health team in Nashville, TN! If you have a background in medical data entry or public health systems, we want to hear from you.
Work & Location Details
- Position: Administrative & Data Processing Assistant
- Location: Nashville, TN (Must be a current Tennessee resident)
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Remote with 2 4 in-person meetings/year in Nashville)
- Interview Process: Webcam or In-Person
Core Responsibilities
- Log and process Hepatitis B & C laboratory and case data into health surveillance databases.
- Apply official public health case definitions to evaluate case types.
- Conduct data cleaning, quality assurance, and resolve record discrepancies.
- Manage review queues, paper/electronic reports, and request medical records.
Key Skills Required
To succeed in this position, candidates should possess strong experience in:
- Data Entry & Management (4 9+ years)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) & Adobe Acrobat (4+ years)
- Attention to Detail & Public/Confidential Health Data Handling
- Verbal & Written Communication
- General Administrative Support & Queue Management
