Technical Business Analyst

Description

We are looking for a skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Cleveland, Ohio. In this role, you will collaborate directly with dispatchers, police officers, and supervisors to address critical operational challenges across multiple police districts. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to translate real-world public safety workflows into actionable technical solutions.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with end users, including dispatchers, officers, and supervisors, to identify and understand operational challenges.
Document and translate user pain points into detailed technical and functional requirements.
Analyze user interactions with Motorola systems and field reporting platforms to uncover inefficiencies.
Investigate and determine the root causes of system and workflow breakdowns.
Partner with leadership to communicate progress, set realistic expectations, and support system adoption and stabilization.
Manage tickets, logs, and documentation for issue tracking and remediation.
Provide real-time feedback to the task force regarding system performance and its impact on users.
Support stabilization efforts by delivering tactical solutions to critical system issues.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in public safety, law enforcement, or dispatch environments.
Hands-on expertise with dispatch systems, with Motorola systems preferred.
Familiarity with field-based reporting platforms used in public safety.
Proven ability to work effectively with police officers, dispatchers, and other public safety personnel.
Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and resolving technical issues.
Ability to convert operational workflows into system and data requirements.
Comfortable working in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
