Actimize Architect

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Actimize Architect to lead the architecture, implementation, modernization, upgrade, and production support of Actimize solutions across AML, fraud, compliance, and financial crime platforms. The role requires strong hands-on expertise across the Actimize technology stack, enterprise architecture, ETL/data integration, security, infrastructure, and client engagement.

The Actimize Architect will work closely with business stakeholders, Line of Business (LOB), infrastructure teams, DBAs, security teams, and technical delivery teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Actimize Architecture & Solution Design

• Define and implement end-to-end architecture for Actimize solutions, ensuring scalability, availability, security, and maintainability.
• Assess existing Actimize architecture and identify opportunities for modernization, optimization, automation, and cost reduction.
• Propose new solution architectures that improve platform efficiency and reduce infrastructure and operational costs.
• Design and review Actimize security architecture, access controls, integrations, and deployment models.
• Lead architecture decisions across Actimize applications, data, infrastructure, integration, and supporting technologies.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development, ETL, infrastructure, and production support teams.

Actimize Environment & Platform Implementation

• Lead the design and creation of new Actimize environments within aggressive delivery timelines.
• Establish repeatable processes and documentation for environment setup, configuration, customization, deployment, and operational activities.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation to capture Actimize customizations, configurations, dependencies, installation procedures, and support processes.
• Identify undocumented client customizations and establish processes to ensure all future changes and activities are systematically documented.

Actimize Upgrade & Modernization

• Lead planning, architecture, execution, and technical coordination for Actimize platform upgrades and migrations.
• Plan and execute upgrades across multiple Actimize products and versions, including:
• ActOne 6.6 SP12
• AIS 4.34
• AVA 6.2
• WLF-X
• IFM 10.2 SP5
• SAM 9.2
• CDD-X
• STAR 3.x
• Lead major IFM upgrade from 4.15 to 10.2 SP5, including impact assessment, dependency analysis, environment preparation, migration planning, testing, deployment, and post-production stabilization.
• Analyze compatibility, customizations, integrations, data migration requirements, and infrastructure dependencies associated with Actimize upgrades.
• Develop upgrade roadmaps, implementation plans, rollback strategies, and risk mitigation plans.Required Technical Skills

• Proven experience with IFM upgrades, including migration from legacy versions to current releases.
• Strong knowledge of Actimize ETL architecture and data flows.
• Experience with Docker/containerized environments.
• Knowledge of Cassandra architecture and database infrastructure.
• Understanding of backup, recovery, and DR architecture.
• Strong understanding of application and security architecture.
• Experience with enterprise integration and data architecture.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in technology, with significant experience in financial crime, AML, fraud, or regulatory technology.
• 7+ years of experience with NICE Actimize or comparable financial crime platforms.
• Experience working in banking or financial services environments.
• Experience leading large-scale Actimize implementations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
• Strong communication, presentation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
