Database Developer

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Database Developer to design, develop, and support enterprisescale data warehouse and data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, ETL development, batch processing, and build/release automation, along with handson experience working in Unix-based environments. This role plays a critical part in delivering reliable, highquality data for reporting, analytics, and downstream systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse and data integration solutions
• Develop and optimize SQL code for data transformation, loading, and reporting
• Work with relational and nonrelational databases including MS SQL Server, Sybase, and MongoDB
• Design, develop, and support ETL processes using IBM DataStage
• Implement and manage batch processing and job scheduling using ControlM
• Develop and maintain Unix and Perl scripts to automate data workflows and operational tasks
• Support production data loads, monitor jobs, and troubleshoot data pipeline failures
• Participate in Build & Release Management, enhancing CI/CD pipelines using:
• BuildMaster
• CloudBees / Jenkins
• UrbanCode Deploy (UCD)
• Ensure data quality, performance, security, and reliability across all data processing layers
• Collaborate with BI, application, QA, and operations teams to support enterprise data needs
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in SQL and Data Integration
• Handson experience with database platforms:
• MS SQL Server
• Sybase
• MongoDB
• Proven expertise in IBM DataStage ETL development
• Experience with Build & Release Management and CI/CD pipelines:
• BuildMaster
• CloudBees / Jenkins
• UrbanCode Deploy (UCD)
• Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
• Experience writing and maintaining Perl scripts
• Solid experience with ControlM scheduling and batch processing
• Excellent problemsolving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

Preferred / NicetoHave Skills

• Experience with enterprise data warehouse architectures
• Exposure to data governance, data quality, and metadata management
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
• Experience supporting highvolume, missioncritical data systems

Education & Experience
