Product Manager – Workday & Enterprise Shared Services

Remote with 1 or 2 days onsite in NYC

EST & CST time zone candidates only

Role Overview

  • Lead product planning, prioritization, and delivery for Workday and enterprise shared services
  • Support capabilities across HR, Finance, Payroll, Procurement, Workforce Planning, Reporting, and corporate functions.
  • Partner with business, technology, security, compliance, and vendor teams to deliver scalable, governed solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the Workday and shared services product roadmap and backlog.
  • Gather business requirements, define problems, assess value, and prioritize initiatives.
  • Translate needs into product briefs, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
  • Support Workday capabilities across HCM, Finance, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation, Time, Absence, Procurement, Expenses, and Reporting.
  • Partner with technical teams on integrations, APIs, data flows, reporting, and system dependencies.
  • Coordinate Workday releases, testing, UAT, deployment, adoption, and post-release optimization.
  • Define product documentation, process flows, release notes, and decision logs.
  • Partner with Security and Compliance on roles, permissions, access controls, audit, and segregation of duties.
  • Lead stakeholder meetings, demos, backlog refinement, prioritization, and executive updates.
  • Drive automation, standardization, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage vendors, consultants, and implementation partners.
  • Track adoption, user feedback, operational impact, and business value.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in product management, enterprise applications, HRIS, finance systems, or business transformation.
  • 3+ years of Workday or comparable enterprise HR/Finance/ERP platform experience.
  • Experience leading initiatives from discovery through implementation, testing, deployment, and optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes including employee lifecycle, recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, payroll, time, and absence.
  • Strong understanding of Finance/shared services including accounting, procurement, expenses, budgeting, approvals, reporting, and controls.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, process design, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs.
  • Experience with integrations, reporting, security roles, access controls, and enterprise data flows.
  • Strong stakeholder, communication, prioritization, and delivery skills.
  • Experience in Agile, hybrid, or enterprise delivery environments.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare or highly regulated industry experience.
  • Workday certification or formal training.
  • Experience with Workday HCM, Finance, Adaptive Planning, or integrations.
  • Experience in healthcare providers, payers, home care, hospice, or health systems.
  • Workday release management, tenant refreshes, regression testing, and production support experience.
  • Experience in workforce, finance, or ERP transformation and enterprise platform governance.
  • Experience with analytics, reporting, dashboards, and data governance.
  • Vendor and implementation partner management experience.
