Summary

Job Description

This is a 6-month contract opportunity for a Senior Software Developer based in Guelph, Ontario (hybrid - 3 days onsite per week) with a well-established organization delivering high-impact digital services at scale. You'll be working across a modern technology stack including .NET / .NET Core, C#, Angular/React, and Azure, contributing to systems used by hundreds of thousands of users annually.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership of meaningful systems and operate as a senior technical voice on the team. You'll lead design discussions, mentor other developers, and work across both backend and frontend systems while contributing to a mature DevOps environment with CI/CD and cloud-native infrastructure. It's a great opportunity to expand your architectural influence, work on large-scale applications, and collaborate with a high-performing, supportive engineering team.

Contract Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension)
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience building custom software solutions
Strong proficiency in .NET / .NET Core and C#
Experience with Entity Framework, Web API, and MVC
Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript
Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Angular or React)
Proficiency with MS SQL and relational databases
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
Experience leading features or owning components of a codebase
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, SASS, LESS)
Experience building and maintaining test suites (unit/integration)
Prior experience mentoring or leading developers
Experience working in Agile environments
