Job Duties:

Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and semiconductor intellectual property (IP) employing knowledge of electronic theory and materials properties.
Support Cadence products in the Digital and Signoff team.
Develop Cadence's Innovus Place and Route tool.
Develop NanoRoute solutions for customers.
Understand integrated circuit (IC) manufacturers' latest technology.
Enable optimization and fix solutions to ensure that customers can meet their design rule requirements and optimization needs in their design flows.
Track and debug customer issues and work with Research and Development (R&D) and release team on issue resolution.
Direct customer engagement by instructing and debugging software issues and flow issues using Cadence tools.
Understand design rules and work with R&D to improve tool technology and determine how it can be best applied.
Prepare necessary criteria, procedures, reports, and plans for successful conduct of the customer projects.
Run design benchmarks and develop flows and solutions for various customers who are working with different foundries.
Specify, build, and automate test cases for existing and new features to ensure excellent quality.
Enable and enhance new Innovus technology to worldwide multiple foundries.
Prepare documentation containing information such as confidential descriptions or specifications of proprietary hardware and software, product development, product costs, and information about product performance weaknesses.
Conduct Innovus training for internal engineers and Cadence customers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related engineering occupation.
Placement, clock tree synthesis, routing optimization, and silicon signoff checks (physical design rules, timing, and power)
Tcl scripting for Innovus, including all data type and all workaround solutions
Utilizing Physical Design tape-out (DRC, LVS, DFM, STA)
Performing advanced node Innovus flow setup from scratch to production level
Utilizing Cerebrus to improve chip quality
Performing Static Timing Analysis (STA) to provide Innovus timing setting for hold timing discrepancy with Prime Time

The annual salary range for California is $156,853 to $253,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
