We are currently seeking a Software Development Specialist to join our team in Worcester, Massachusetts (US-MA), United States (US).

Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)

• Provide Technical solutions in Mainframe Technologies.
• Provide estimations for projects.
• Write detailed technical specifications.
• Review Code and QA Test plan and Test execution.
• Review and Propose changes to the Tech Design.
• Developing application by following Tech Design and Technical specification documents.
• Maintaining proper documentation for the work requests, change requests and defects.
• Create and maintain Implementation plan and support Release activities.
• Responsible to support the application for any Critical Production Issues.
• Subject Mater expert and Tech Lead in team.
• Provide Trainings to the Team in both Domain and Technology. Help reduce the Skill gaps in team.

Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required for this job with minimum years of experience on each)

• Minimum 10+ years of experience across the Mainframe
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in P&C insurance knowledge

Travel:

• This position does not require travel. Preferred location is Worcester, MA or East coast.

Degree:

• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Nice to Have; (But not a must)

• Project lead experience

The starting hourly range for this remote role is $50 to $60.  This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
