3Core Systems is looking for Senior Project Manager / Scrum Master for one of our clients in Deerfield Beach, FL
Role: Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master
Location: Deerfield Beach, FL (Hybrid 3 Days a week onsite)
Duration: 6+ Months contract
MUST HAVE THE SKILLS BELOW, 10/10 COMM
We are looking for a very strong, seasoned, effective PM and Scrum Master that can vacillate with confidence between waterfall and scrum/kanban. Be able to get enough into the details or ask related questions to feel confident as to where we are/are not and identify any organizational challenges. The challenge we have with current project is that it is complex to navigate and moving fast. Requires someone to be extremely well organized and able to influence team effectiveness.
Summary:
- As a Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master, you will directly report to an IT Delivery Manager.
- You will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of your projects ensuring consistency with company project methodology, organizational strategy, commitments and goals.
- In agile environments you will ensure that the team adheres to the Scrum principles, values and practices while establishing an Agile friendly environment for the team. You will be accountable for facilitating the Scrum process and will also be ensuring that the team is delivering value. This role will support the JMFE Corporate Systems Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate leadership by leading the planning and implementation of a project
- Demonstrate strong organizational, presentation and communication skills
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
- Define project tasks and resource requirements
- Develop full scale project plans
- Establish and coordinate project teams
- Plan and schedule project timelines
- Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning
- Efficiently identify project issues and develop issue resolution action plans
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and adhering to project methodology
- Direct and oversee project team and manage conflicts within group
- Provide guidance and direction to external vendors as applicable
- Ensure quality assurance
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
- Develop and present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project goal In Agile Environments:
- Guide and coach, the team on how to use Agile framework
- Remove impediments that inhibit the team's productivity and that may sometimes involve coordinating with people outside the team to seek assistance on work items
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure that they are comprehended and followed: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint review and Sprint Retrospective
- Act as a Servant Leader: Maintain productivity and function of the team
- Manage the Scrum Board
- Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
- Act as Change Agent: Understand the need for change helping the team implement changes effectively
- Ensure deliverables meet the quality standards at the end of each sprint
- Guides teams to higher scrum maturity
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in working on projects/ Scrum teams
- Certified Scrum Master or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Advanced knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Must possess a strong presence, polish, and exude confidence
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Good critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Good problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent servant leadership and change leadership skills
- Excellent planning and coordination skills
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, and Azure DevOps
- Familiar with SDLC concepts
