JOB DESCRIPTION

Overview
The SL1 Program Manager leads large-scale, cross-functional technical programs from concept through launch, with clear alignment to product strategy, platform direction and business outcomes. The role combines program execution with product lifecycle planning, vendor governance and portfolio delivery.
The Program Manager works across Product, Engineering, Operations and external vendors to turn business needs into scalable product capabilities, move roadmap priorities forward and support successful deployment of mission-critical solutions. Success requires strong judgment, clear communication and the ability to balance customer needs, product direction and technical constraints.

Core Responsibilities

Program & Portfolio Execution
Lead delivery of large, complex programs across design, development, deployment and production launch
Build and manage integrated program plans across multiple projects, ensuring alignment to broader portfolio objectives
Coordinate cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Operations, Vendors) to execute against program milestones
Manage interdependencies across workstreams to ensure cohesive execution and on-time delivery
Provide clear updates to senior leaders and stakeholders on progress, risks and outcomes

Product Strategy & Lifecycle Integration
Translate business and customer requirements into product features, technical capabilities, and platform enhancements
Partner with Product Management so program deliverables support the product roadmap, release cycles and strategic priorities
Support backlog prioritization, feature sequencing, and release readiness across multiple initiatives
Ensure alignment to target architecture, platform standards, and long-term product evolution
Drive feedback loops from deployments into product improvements, roadmap adjustments, and innovation opportunities
Support offer development and commercialization readiness, including packaging, positioning and operational support models
Validate that delivered capabilities meet market demand, customer use cases, and competitive differentiation

Vendor & Partner Management
Coordinate key vendors, including SL1, and hold partners accountable for delivery commitments
Establish performance tracking, governance, and escalation mechanisms for partner execution
Align vendor deliverables with product architecture, integration standards, and program timelines
Drive transparency and accountability across all external dependencies

Technical & Operational Leadership
Oversee the technical and process work required for program execution, including:
o Design reviews and architecture alignment
o Requirements and specification development
o Test, validation, and deployment planning
o Change management and service transition
Ensure solutions integrate smoothly into pre-production and production environments
Drive operational readiness, including support models, monitoring, and lifecycle management

Governance, Risk & Change Management
Put program governance in place, including risk management, change control and quality assurance
Identify risks early and drive mitigation plans across technical, operational, and business dimensions
Balance tradeoffs across scope, timeline, cost, and product impact
Ensure all program control mechanisms (reviews, tracking, reporting) are consistently executed
