Job Description:

- Must have strong Inventory experience
Day to Day:
Our Client is looking for a strong SAP MM/SD Functional Consultant to help close a key gap their functionally lean team for Project , a major SAP ECC-to-S/4HANA RISE transformation within the retail sector.
The project is currently in its build phase, where the emphasis is on detailed functional and technical specifications, solution design, and beginning the development cycle. The current team is well-supported on the technical/ABAP side—including a dedicated offshore development team—but they are actively seeking additional functional expertise to balance the delivery.
This is not a leadership position, but it is a critical functional role that will help drive hands-on solutioning and alleviate pressure from leads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of writing and maintaining functional specifications for MM and SD modules in S/4HANA.
- Work closely with offshore ABAP developers to ensure alignment between specs and system builds.
- Participate in and contribute to ongoing solution design sessions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, especially in finance and accounting, to understand requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Support integration testing, UAT, defect resolution, and knowledge transfer.
- Assist in ECC-to-S/4HANA migration activities where applicable.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Strong functional expertise in SAP MM and SD, including configuration and documentation.
- Experience working in S/4HANA environments (greenfield, brownfield, or RISE).
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and support project leads.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes in SAP (more important than supply chain experience).
- Comfort working in a collaborative, fast-moving team environment.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience in retail environments or exposure to S/4HANA Retail.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori, ABAP debugging, or third-party tool integrations.
- Experience working with RISE with SAP implementations or ECC-to-S/4 migrations.
- SAP Certifications (MM, SD, or S/4HANA) are a plus.
