Lead DevOps Engineer (Cloudflare Specialist)
Duration: Long Term
Location: San Ramon, CA (4 days/week)
Responsibilities:
- 13+ years’ experience with distributed applications at scale in cloud (AWS), or equivalent experience.
- Expert knowledge of AWS services and architecture patterns
- Proven experience scaling large, distributed applications
- Strong background in infrastructure and application security
- Hands-on experience with Cloudflare (DNS, WAF, CDN, DDoS mitigation)
- Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS)
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure, including selecting appropriate cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), networking, storage, and compute resources
- Ensure cloud environments are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations by implementing security controls, access management, and encryption
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications
- Authoring automated deployments using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Automated provision/orchestration of AWS resources
- System performance monitoring, reporting and optimization
- Experience with containers (Docker, EKS) and serverless (Lambda).
- Experience in implementing various AWS solutions like Data Sync, Batch Job, EMR
- Experience bootstrapping and automating the build of complete Kubernetes environments
- Experience with automated build in Jenkins or similar CI tools
- Experience in managing multiple AWS environments and the AWS ecosystem.
