Job Title:
Quality & Reliability Engineer (Body Systems)

Overview / Summary:
The Quality & Reliability Engineer serves as the first line of defense for functional system quality within a vehicle assembly environment. This role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and resolving quality issues related to body exterior systems and components, while collaborating with engineering and production teams to meet quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve quality issues related to components and assembly processes
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support quality objectives for body exterior systems
  • Focus on areas including trim, decals, bumpers, latches, and sealing
  • Review incoming warranty claims data and categorize issues accurately
  • Evaluate customer and dealership feedback to identify concerns
  • Contact dealerships for parts and repair diagnosis as needed
  • Participate in customer follow-up to clarify feedback and issues
  • Conduct root cause analysis on returned parts
  • Develop interim containment actions and permanent corrective actions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering (4-year accredited program)
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in Product Development, Quality, Program, or Manufacturing
