Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technology Consultant with strong expertise in database administration, AWS database services, and cloud database operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, AWS RDS and Aurora environments, database migrations, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.
The candidate will support database operations, ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness, and collaborate with DevOps and cloud platform teams to maintain reliable and efficient database environments.

Key Responsibilities
-
Administer and maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments.
-
Manage AWS RDS and Aurora database provisioning, upgrades, patching, backup, and recovery.

Implement and support high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
-
Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and SQL troubleshooting.

Support database migration activities using AWS Database Migration Service.

Troubleshoot production database issues and ensure operational stability.

Administer and support Amazon Redshift environments.
-
Configure and troubleshoot database connectivity for ECS/Fargate applications.
-
Collaborate with DevOps, cloud engineering, and application teams to resolve technical issues.

Participate in architecture reviews, sprint planning, and production readiness assessments.

Identify opportunities for cost optimization, monitoring improvements, and operational automation.

Support database operations in Agile/Kanban delivery environments.
Required Qualifications

6–8 years of relevant experience in database administration and technology consulting.

Strong hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL administration.

Experience with AWS RDS, Aurora, and AWS DMS.

Knowledge of database backup and recovery, patching, upgrades, and migration processes.

Strong understanding of HA/DR, performance tuning, and SQL optimization.
-
Experience supporting production database environments and troubleshooting complex issues.

Familiarity with Amazon Redshift and ECS/Fargate connectivity.

Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
-
Previous end-client experience is mandatory.

Willingness to work onsite three days per week at one of the listed locations.
