This is a fully onsite role based in Irvine, CA; candidates must live within commuting distance and be onsite 5 days per week.
What You Will Do - Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, driving talent acquisition, engagement, and growth.
- Execute complex projects with accountability for planning, budgeting, staffing, and delivery of results.
- Apply problem-solving and process improvement methodologies to resolve technical and business challenges.
- Influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders through clear, strategic communication.
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and belonging in hiring and team development.
- Ensure compliance with medical device regulations and design control standards.
- Partner with customers and key opinion leaders to align technical strategies with clinical needs and objectives.
- Contribute to financial modeling and strategic planning for product segments or business functions.
What You Will Need Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex projects.
- Experience with regulatory compliance in medical device development.
- Proficiency in CAD and SolidWorks.
Preferred Qualifications - 2+ years of direct people management experience.
- Medical device NPD expertise (Class II/III), including catheter and Nitinol design, and intellectual property (IP) development, is a huge plus.
- People leadership and business acumen: coaching and talent strategy, healthcare market/competitor understanding, project budgeting/financial accountability, and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
$118,000 - $255,700 plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
Travel Percentage: 10%
