Summary

Position: Sr. Data Center Operations (DCOPS) Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design and evolve Data centre network architecture (L2/L3, segmentation, redundancy models)
Define standards for VLANs, IP addressing, routing, and firewall policies
Research and evaluate emerging technologies in switching, firewalling, and Data Center
Interconnect (DCI) to maintain a competitive edge.
Own configuration and lifecycle of switches and firewalls
Lead complex network changes and migrations with minimal downtime
Troubleshoot and resolve advanced L1–L3 issues (latency, packet loss, asymmetric routing)
Optimize network performance and resiliency
Drive network and infrastructure automation (Ansible, Python, APIs)
Implement Infrastructure as Code for network configurations
Build self-service capabilities for VLANs, IPs, and firewall rules
Design and enforce network security architecture
Own firewall strategy and segmentation models

Required / Preferred Qualifications

7+ years of experience in data center operations, network engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
Deep expertise in networking (TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, VLANs, routing, switching)
Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade switches and firewalls
Strong experience troubleshooting complex network and hardware issues
Experience designing highly available and scalable network architectures
Experience with NetDevOps / network automation (Python, Ansible, APIs)
Understanding of Kubernetes networking and overlay/underlay models
Experience with observability and telemetry systems
