Senior Java Developer

Introduction

The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise web applications. They will also mentor developers, collaborate across teams, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop React SPA applications
• Implement Redux for state management
• Create responsive and accessible user interfaces using Bootstrap, HTML/CSS, and UX principles
• Ensure Section 508/WCAG accessibility compliance
• Build backend services with Node.js, Express, and RESTful APIs
• Optimize SQL queries and database performance in PostgreSQL
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in the application
• Architect APIs for scalability and maintainability
• Implement DevOps practices using Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift, SonarQube, CI/CD, and Git/Bitbucket
• Work in Agile environments following Scrum/Kanban methodologies
• Write unit and integration tests using Jest, Mocha, Chai, Sinon, Supertest, Selenium, and ESLint
• Utilize additional technologies like AWS, Redis, NGINX, SOLR, XML/JSON, and AI-assisted coding for performance tuning and development

Requirements

Required Skills:

• Master''s degree with 5 years of experience, Bachelor''s degree with 7 years of experience, or 13+ years of relevant experience
• 10+ years of full-stack development experience with Node.js, React.js, Express.js, Redux/Flux, TypeScript, REST APIs, and microservices

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Section 508/WCAG accessibility standards
• Knowledge of SQL optimization techniques
• Familiarity with Agile practices such as TDD/BDD, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
• Understanding of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift, SonarQube, CI/CD, and Git/Bitbucket
• Proficiency in testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, Chai, Sinon, Supertest, Selenium, and ESLint
• Additional experience with AWS, Redis, NGINX, SOLR, XML/JSON, and AI-assisted coding
