Job Duties:
  • Utilizing engineering background, provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical customer support including implementation, training, and maintenance support for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and semiconductor intellectual property (IP).
  • Utilize graduate-level research and analysis skills to provide support to key customers in understanding their challenges and determining the product requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product Development team as needed to improve software products and the customers' experience using these products.
  • Drive customer engagements for brand new solutions to success, working closely with Research & Development (R&D) to improve the solution.
  • Develop utilities for troubleshooting and debugging problems.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support.
  • Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.
  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
  • Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs.
  • Research and identify potential customers for products or services.
  • Develop sales plans to introduce products in new markets.
  • Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Write technical documentation for products.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Write and debug automation code in Python, perl, Bash, and Tcl
  • Solve numerical and graph problems using foundational algorithms
  • Familiarity with modern software development methodologies including Agile, Scrum, extreme programming, and field-testing practices
  • Familiarity with various testing methodologies including unit, integration, system, and regression testing, for building custom regression suites
  • Ability to develop modular Python-based regression frameworks and generate HTML reports using web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, and React
  • Data mining and report post-processing using Python, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, and Qt
  • Ability to mentor and upskill traditional EDA support engineers in modern automation and scripting technologies
