Senior Healthcare Rating System Analyst / ABACUS Techno-Functional Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Techno-Functional Consultant with expertise in rule-based underwriting and rating systems such as ABACUS or similar platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the healthcare insurance domain, particularly in underwriting, rating, and actuarial data processing. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to translate complex business rules into system configurations, ensuring accurate premium calculations and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and support rule-based rating systems such as ABACUS or similar platforms (e.g., Stepwise)
• Collaborate with business teams to understand underwriting and pricing requirements
• Translate business-driven rules into technical system configurations
• Perform system design, configuration, testing, and implementation
• Support end-to-end lifecycle including production support and issue resolution
• Analyze and validate actuarial and rating data
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of premium calculations and rating logic
• Participate in UAT, SIT, and regression testing
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including actuarial, underwriting, and IT

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience with ABACUS or similar rule-based rating systems (e.g., Stepwise)
• Strong knowledge of healthcare insurance domain (payer side)
• Experience in underwriting, rating, or actuarial systems
• Ability to manage and implement business rules within technical platforms
• Hands-on experience in configuration, testing, and system implementation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with actuarial data models and pricing strategies
• Knowledge of US healthcare systems and insurance workflows
