Job Title: Snowflake DBT Developer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Snowflake DBT Developer to design, develop, and optimize cloud-based data transformation solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Snowflake, dbt (Data Build Tool), SQL, and modern data warehousing concepts. This role involves building scalable data models, implementing ELT processes, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data transformation pipelines using dbt.
• Build and optimize data models within Snowflake.
• Develop and maintain ELT/ETL processes for data ingestion and transformation.
• Create reusable dbt models, macros, tests, and documentation.
• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring processes.
• Optimize Snowflake performance, including query tuning and warehouse sizing.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements.
• Develop incremental models and manage data lineage.
• Troubleshoot data issues and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and follow data engineering best practices.
• Maintain technical documentation and data dictionaries.
• Support deployment and CI/CD processes for data transformation projects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data warehousing.
• Strong experience with Snowflake and dbt.
• Advanced SQL programming skills.
• Experience with data modeling techniques such as star schema and dimensional modeling.
• Knowledge of ELT/ETL frameworks and data pipeline development.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• dbt or Snowflake certifications are a plus.
