Japanese to English Interpreter

Title: OnDemand Translator (Japanese/English) 12Month Contract Bay Area

We are seeking an experienced Japanese/English Interpreter to support a variety of highvisibility business, technical, and executive meetings. This is an ondemand contract role ideal for professionals who enjoy dynamic schedules and highlevel engagement.

Location

Hybrid candidate must be local to the Bay Area and able to commute to offices in Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, and San Jose.

What You ll Do

• Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation between English and Japanese
• Support executive-level meetings, cross-company discussions, corporate venture topics, and technical sessions related to automotive and software
• Interpret complex content accurately while preserving meaning and tone
• Collaborate with internal teams, subject matter experts, and interpreter partners in the U.S. and Japan
• Provide post-meeting follow-ups to ensure clarity and shared understanding

What You Bring

• 2+ years interpreting at the executive or senior leadership level
• Experience across business, strategy, finance, operational, and technical meeting contexts
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other interpreters
• Must be local to the Bay Area
• Flexibility to support meetings with advance notice (7 days for onsite, 48 hours for virtual)
