QA Lead

Job Title: Testing Lead – MMIS (Medicaid) | UAT / QA Lead (Public Sector)

Location: Pierre, SD (Onsite)

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Testing Lead (QA/UAT Lead) with strong MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System) experience to support business-side testing initiatives for system enhancements and new development efforts.

This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, project teams, and IT staff to ensure high-quality delivery of Medicaid system changes aligned with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate testing efforts with project teams and IT stakeholders
• Develop and document comprehensive test cases and test scenarios
• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, and integration testing
• Track, analyze, and report test results, defects, and remediation efforts
• Understand and assess system impacts across integrated MMIS modules
• Collaborate with business units to validate process flows and requirements
• Support testing efforts related to policy updates, federal mandates, and system enhancements
• Facilitate meetings and communicate testing progress with stakeholders
• Prepare test reports and documentation for leadership review

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Testing Lead / QA Lead / UAT Lead
• Strong hands-on experience with MMIS (Medicaid Management Information Systems) (MANDATORY)
• Experience in business-side testing / UAT coordination
• Solid understanding of claims, eligibility, provider, or healthcare systems
• Experience with test case creation, execution, and defect tracking
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Micro Focus ALM Quality Center, or similar
• Strong experience with SQL / data validation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with state government / public sector / HHS systems
• Knowledge of Medicaid policies, compliance, and regulatory environments
• Experience with system integration and end-to-end testing

Additional Details:

• Strong emphasis on functional testing and business validation (not automation-heavy)
• Candidates with direct MMIS experience will be prioritized
• Ability to work in a collaborative, stakeholder-driven environment is critical
