Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead automation efforts across API and UI testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building automation frameworks, hands-on expertise in Java-based automation tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Agile, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead API and UI automation initiatives across multiple projects and releases
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Java, and Rest Assured
• Create and execute manual and automated test cases based on functional and technical requirements
• Guide and mentor offshore QA engineers, ensuring quality standards and delivery timelines are met
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Agile teams, and DevOps engineers throughout the development lifecycle
• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution and release validation
• Perform API integration testing and validate system interactions across services
• Track defects, manage test execution, and maintain quality metrics using standard tools
• Continuously improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and testing processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java for test automation
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
• Experience in API automation using Rest Assured
• Experience with Cucumber or BDD frameworks
• Experience working with Jenkins pipelines and CI/CD environments
• Proficiency with Jira, GitLab, and version control workflows
• Experience using Postman for API testing and validation
• Strong understanding of API integration testing and backend systems
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with PractiTest or TestCafe
• Exposure to Playwright for modern UI automation
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
