Hiring a Principal Product Manager - Accounts Payable & Supplier Systems
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid - 3 days/week onsite)

Job Summary:We are seeking a seasoned and innovative Principal Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for Accounts Payable (AP) and Supplier systems. This role is essential in driving financial systems convergence, application rationalization, and operational process optimization across the organization. You will own product definition, roadmap development, business requirements, cross-functional alignment, and end-to-end delivery for enterprise financial systems. This is a high-visibility role with significant influence on financial technology direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business intent, stakeholder needs, and technical direction into clear business requirements and product backlogs for complex financial applications.
- Develop and maintain a 12+ month product roadmap aligned to long-term financial systems strategy.
- Serve as the strategic connector between business teams, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Author BRDs, define acceptance criteria, and uphold strong documentation standards.
- Partner with business teams to build and secure approval for business cases and investment proposals.
- Map business processes to system capabilities within Accounts Payable and Supplier domains, identifying gaps and opportunities.
- Participate in Product Increment (PI) Planning and lead product activities throughout the development lifecycle.
- Define user personas and user journeys to ensure alignment with user needs and quality requirements.
- Lead user testing, A/B experiments, interviews, and surveys, converting insights into product improvements.
- Use product analytics tools and performance metrics to drive data-backed decision-making.
- Monitor market trends, stakeholder feedback, and system performance to spark enhancements.
- Promote collaboration across teams and influence strategic product direction.
- Manage the complete product lifecycle from ideation to development, launch, optimization, and end-of-life.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to dive deep into complex processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Workday Financials experience (specifically Accounts Payable, Accounting, and Supplier modules).
- PeopleSoft experience (AP, Procurement, Supplier Management).
- Accounting experience and strong understanding of AP processes.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 5-7+ years of product management experience in FinTech, ERP, enterprise systems, or related fields.
- Advanced knowledge of financial system architecture, ERP workflows, and integration patterns.
- Experience with SaaS or custom software design methodologies and ability to mentor junior PMs.
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with application deployment, testing, and support processes.
- Expertise with requirements management and backlog management tools.
- Experience developing product roadmaps and using product analytics tools.
- Experience designing and executing user testing and research activities.
- Proven ability to integrate customer and technical feedback into product improvement cycles.
- Experience building processes and systems that reduce operational or data bias.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $80.00/hr.
