Role Summary
AWS Developer with hands-on experience building and supporting cloud-based applications using AWS, Python, and Java. This role focuses on designing, building, and supporting scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions within a modern AWS environment for finance applications.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, deploy, and support AWS-based applications using Python and Java.
Implement solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Athena, Glue, S3, and CloudFront.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, CDK, and Terraform.
Build reusable, scalable, and cost-efficient components following cloud and serverless best practices.
Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and support automated deployments.
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Perform routine troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, deployment procedures, operational runbooks, and support documentation.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in application development with a focus on AWS cloud solutions.
Hands-on experience with AWS services including VPC, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, Athena, DynamoDB, Glue, and ECS/Fargate.
Proficiency in Python and Java
Experience with Docker and container-based deployments
Strong SQL skills, including advanced queries; experience with SQL Server, DB2, or PostgreSQL
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaborate effectively within a technical team.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js preferred.
Experience developing serverless and event-driven architectures on AWS.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform).
Experience with source control and application build and deployment using tools such as Git, Maven, shell scripting, and cloud-based pipelines.
