Position Summary
In support of modernizing and enhancing a loan origination and servicing system, we’re seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Developer to design and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services. This role requires deep knowledge of AWS architecture, services and best practices for building secure, scalable applications in a dynamic, agile delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and deploy applications using AWS-native services.
• In collaboration with business analysts, architects and developers, design serverless solutions using Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, Secrets Manager, Cognito, Aurora and DynamoDB.
• Implement infrastructure as code using TerraForm or CDK.
• Optimize application performance and cost within AWS.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong proficiency in AWS services Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, Secrets Manager, Cognito, Aurora and DynamoDB.
• Experience with serverless frameworks and event-driven design.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in AWS.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging (CloudWatch, X-Ray).
• Programming experience in Java.
• Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer.
• Knowledge of and experience using AI development and testing tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot).
• Experienced with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS) is a plus.
• Experience in large scale information technology and database systems utilizing Java technologies and SQL Server.
• Experience in developing and / or supporting loan origination and servicing systems.
