Summary:
This role is for an infrastructure-focused platform engineer with deep hands-on AWS networking experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in designing, supporting, and automating AWS platform infrastructure solutions within an enterprise environment. This position is not for a developer or architect role.
Responsibilities:
Design and support AWS platform infrastructure solutions
Utilize in-depth understanding of AWS Networking including PrivateLink, Security Groups, Route53, VPC, and VPCe
Manage authentication and authorization of services via SCP, KMS, Policies, and Roles
Design, develop, deploy, and automate CloudFormation Templates using CI/CD pipelines
Handle design, implementation, integration, and operational support of Cloud-based applications at the platform level
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience
12+ years of strong, infrastructure-focused experience in an enterprise environment using the AWS cloud platform
AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification is required
Hands-on experience with AWS native services, OAuth, Lambda, CloudFormation, and AWS networking
Demonstrable experience with CFT, Python, and Shell Scripts
Experience with EKS, Jenkins, Git (BitBucket), Artifactory, ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence
Experience across technologies such as databases, directory services, containers, network infrastructures, and Linux operating systems
An understanding of fundamental security and data flows within these components
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be a self-motivated, driven, and creative individual
