SAP Business analyst (Business‑Facing)

Senior SAP Business Analyst (Business‑Facing)
Location: Remote (with some travel required for major implementation phases)

• There is existing financial reporting, but the S/4HANA effort will start from ground zero
• Significant discovery and definition work will be required up front

Key Need / Gap

• Major gap in senior, business‑facing SAP BA capability
• Looking for a true business professional, not a technical configurator
• Role is expected to help define requirements, shape best practices, and guide the business forward

Must‑Have Experience

• S/4HANA experience is required
• Strong Finance domain knowledge
• Deep understanding of CO‑PA (Profitability Analysis)
• Experience with:
• Financial reporting
• Margin analysis
• Understanding downstream impacts of reporting and margin changes
• Configuration experience is NOT required

Core Responsibilities

• Understand and translate business requirements
• Rapidly get up to speed on current processes
• Act as the “eyes and ears” of the business
• Identify gaps
• Bring forward SAP and finance best practices
• Support and actively participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Bridge current‑state reporting to future‑state S/4HANA design

Role Profile

• Senior, consultative, business‑facing analyst
• Strong financial acumen and stakeholder communication skills
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and early‑stage transformation
• Long‑term mindset aligned with contract‑to‑hire intent

Logistics

• Role is remote, but this is a large implementation
• Consultant must be open to some travel as needed
