Role Overview
An Audiovisual Engineer is sought to provide AV system design services. The role involves designing, configuring, and operating advanced AV systems for U.S. government customers. The position will require travel to various job sites as needed and is for the first shift, with occasional compensated support after hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Survey, plan, develop, design, configure, and test multi-classification AV solutions.
- Generate custom audiovisual system designs, including DSP layouts and systems configuration.
- Attend customer stakeholder meetings to document or validate system requirements.
- Research, identify, and recommend technology options to address customer needs.
- Draft system engineering documentation, including signal flows, line diagrams, and bills of materials.
- Support onsite installation of AV systems and lead system configuration phases.
- Coordinate with customer facilities teams and other onsite subcontractors and vendors.
- Support the development of end-user training materials and operations plans.
- Perform in-house testing and on-site commissioning at client locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree and 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master with 3 years' related work experience, etc.).
- 3+ years of related work experience is required, with 5+ years preferred for a higher-level role.
- Experience with AV systems field installation is necessary.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense TS/SCI clearance and an adjudciated Counterintelligence Polygraph as a condition and continuation of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- An Associate degree or higher.
- AVIXA CTS certification.
- Experience with DSP platforms such as Biamp or QSC.
- Experience with Crestron, Extron, and Thinklogical systems.
- An adjudicated Full Scope Polygraph.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $55.00 and $65.00 per hour.
