Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced MQ Engineer to design, administer, and support enterprise IBM MQ messaging infrastructure across z/OS environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IBM MQ administration, high availability, security, and enterprise messaging.
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of IBM MQ Administration experience
- Hands-on experience with IBM MQ on z/OS
- Experience with RACF or Top Secret security
- Strong knowledge of IBM MQ 9.x, Queue Managers, MQ Clustering, Channel Configuration, and Publish/Subscribe messaging
- Experience with SSL/TLS, TCP/IP networking, and certificate management
- Scripting experience using Shell, Bash, Python, or PowerShell
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, HA, and Disaster Recovery experience
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, administer, and upgrade IBM MQ Queue Managers
- Design and support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions
- Configure MQ clustering, channels, security, and message routing
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise messaging environments
- Perform upgrades, migrations, patching, and capacity planning
- Develop operational documentation and collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams
