Job Description:

Quevera is seeking a Scrum Master to support mission-critical programs in Herndon and Springfield, Virginia. This position requires a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and supports Agile software development teams within secure customer environments.

The successful candidate will facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage team backlogs, coordinate cross-functional collaboration, and help ensure successful sprint execution. Working closely with engineering teams and stakeholders, you will remove delivery impediments, monitor Agile metrics, and contribute to technical initiatives that support program objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the dedicated Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Manage and maintain the team backlog, ensuring work items are well-groomed, appropriately prioritized, and include clearly defined acceptance criteria.
  • Track and report sprint velocity, burndown, and other Agile metrics while identifying and removing blockers to keep delivery on schedule.
  • Coordinate cross-team dependencies and communication across multiple workstreams within the program.
  • Contribute to engineering efforts, including infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipeline updates, or light development work, as capacity allows between Scrum Master responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Green Badge (may be obtained as part of the crossover process).
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with demonstrated experience leading Agile ceremonies and managing backlogs using Jira or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with software development practices, including source control, CI/CD, and code reviews, sufficient to understand development activities and remove technical blockers.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with experience managing competing priorities across multiple teams.
  • Willingness to work onsite in a SCIF environment at AWS Herndon or the Springfield customer site up to 100% of the work week.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience supporting the Orange customer.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Experience supporting multi-team, cross-disciplinary programs within classified environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), or DevOps tooling.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML or geospatial project workflows.
  • Experience using Agile metrics and data-driven approaches to improve team performance.
  • Experience with Python, scripting, or light software development to support automation or tooling initiatives.
