We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and dedicated Permanent Project Manager/Estimator to join our team in the commercial construction industry. This role is a unique opportunity to play a significant part in our company's growth and success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a particular focus on budgeting, contract management, site work, bidding, and construction services. The Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project from conception to completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the successful execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Perform detailed budget analysis, cost estimation, and financial planning for all projects.
  • Manage all aspects of the contract process, including negotiation, execution, and administration.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Review the work progress on a daily basis, tracking RFI and addressing potential issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, budget, and schedule.
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks, ensuring all projects are delivered successfully.
  • Perform take-offs and prepare detailed and accurate estimates.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain permits and licenses with subcontractors.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  • Conduct project close out, including finalizing all project documents and assessing project results.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or estimation in the construction industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven working experience in construction management, with a strong understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A team player with leadership abilities.
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
